Viseu, July 7, 2026 – MIKA and UB40 ft. Ali Campbell are the headliners of the first edition of the ROCK & DÃO festival, with performances on September 18 and 19, respectively, at Parque de Santiago, in Viseu. David Bruno, Delfins, Samuel Úria, Cassete Pirata, Ganso and Os Pontos Negros complete the musical line-up of the event, which brings together the music of national and international artists with traditional gastronomy and the excellence of Dão Wines, one of the most prestigious Portuguese wine regions.
ROCK & DÃO is born with the ambition of establishing this area of the country as a reference destination for cultural events. With the institutional support of the Municipality of Viseu, the Dão Regional Wine Commission, and Turismo do Centro, the event presents itself through the appreciation of the quality of its offering, the surrounding environment and the connection to the region. In a distinctive and sensory experience, ROCK & DÃO proposes a celebration of the contemporary lifestyle, integrating gastronomic spaces, social areas and experiences dedicated to the promotion of Dão Wines.

This festival is a shared celebration, and our main goal is to continue bringing dynamism, pride and unforgettable moments that value our community and put our region on the map,” says Pedro Morais Leitão, Festival Director.
MIKA is a global icon and comes to ROCK & DÃO on September 18 to present the new album, “Hyperlove”, and some of the greatest Pop classics of the last two decades, such as “Grace Kelly”, “Relax, Take It Easy” and “Love Today”. Also performing on the main stage on the first day of the festival will be David Bruno, one of the most singular artists of the new national music scene, author of conceptual albums acclaimed by critics, a nomination for “Best Performer” at the Golden Globes, and sold-out concerts at venues such as the Coliseu do Porto; Cassete Pirata, a renowned band from the Portuguese indie scene composed of leading musicians – João Firmino, Margarida Campelo, Joana Espadinha, António Quintino and João Pinheiro – with three albums praised by critics, songs such as “A Próxima Viagem” and “Só Mais uma Hora”, and regular appearances at the country's main festivals and concert venues; and, finally, Os Pontos Negros, a cult indie rock band with a career spanning more than 20 years, four albums, a nomination for “Best Portuguese Artist” at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and landmark songs such as “Conto de Fadas de Sintra a Lisboa”, “Doutor, Preciso de Ajuda” and “Rei Bã”.
On September 19, UB40 ft. Ali Campbell, one of the most successful reggae bands of all time, with sales of more than 70 million records, global hits such as “Red Red Wine”, “Kingston Town” and “(I Can’t Help) Falling in Love with You”, and recipients of a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for their contribution to British music, will perform. On the same date, the national acts Delfins, an emblematic Portuguese pop rock group with a career spanning more than four decades and timeless songs such as “1 Lugar ao Sol”, “Sou Como Um Rio”, “A Baía de Cascais” and “Nasce Selvagem”, among many others, which have marked several generations; Samuel Úria, acclaimed and award-winning musician and singer-songwriter from Tondela with six released albums, practitioner of the so-called “Blues do Dão”, and winner of a Golden Globe for “Best Song” with “2000 A. D.”, taken from the album of the same name; and, finally, GANSO, one of the leading bands of the new generation of Portuguese alternative music, with three albums acclaimed by critics, the gold single “Sorte a Minha”, and a trajectory of growth that led them to sell out venues across the country and recently celebrate 10 years of their career at the Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon.
Parque de Santiago, in Viseu, serves as the setting for the eagerly awaited first edition of ROCK & DÃO. Tickets for the festival are already on sale, with prices starting at €35 for the Daily Ticket and €60 for the 2-Day Pass.
