Viseu, July 7, 2026 \u2013 MIKA and UB40 ft. Ali Campbell are the headliners of the first edition of the ROCK & D\u00c3O festival, with performances on September 18 and 19, respectively, at Parque de Santiago, in Viseu. David Bruno, Delfins, Samuel \u00daria, Cassete Pirata, Ganso and Os Pontos Negros complete the musical line-up of the event, which brings together the music of national and international artists with traditional gastronomy and the excellence of D\u00e3o Wines, one of the most prestigious Portuguese wine regions.<\/strong>


ROCK & D\u00c3O is born with the ambition of establishing this area of the country as a reference destination for cultural events. With the institutional support of the Municipality of Viseu, the D\u00e3o Regional Wine Commission, and Turismo do Centro, the event presents itself through the appreciation of the quality of its offering, the surrounding environment and the connection to the region. MIKA is a global icon and comes to ROCK & D\u00c3O on September 18 to present the new album, \u201cHyperlove\u201d, and some of the greatest Pop classics of the last two decades, such as \u201cGrace Kelly\u201d, \u201cRelax, Take It Easy\u201d and \u201cLove Today\u201d. Also performing on the main stage on the first day of the festival will be David Bruno, one of the most singular artists of the new national music scene, author of conceptual albums acclaimed by critics, a nomination for \u201cBest Performer\u201d at the Golden Globes, and sold-out concerts at venues such as the Coliseu do Porto; Cassete Pirata, a renowned band from the Portuguese indie scene composed of leading musicians \u2013 Jo\u00e3o Firmino, Margarida Campelo, Joana Espadinha, Ant\u00f3nio Quintino and Jo\u00e3o Pinheiro \u2013 with three albums praised by critics, songs such as \u201cA Pr\u00f3xima Viagem\u201d and \u201cS\u00f3 Mais uma Hora\u201d, and regular appearances at the country's main festivals and concert venues; and, finally, Os Pontos Negros, a cult indie rock band with a career spanning more than 20 years, four albums, a nomination for \u201cBest Portuguese Artist\u201d at the MTV Europe Music Awards, and landmark songs such as \u201cConto de Fadas de Sintra a Lisboa\u201d, \u201cDoutor, Preciso de Ajuda\u201d and \u201cRei B\u00e3\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On September 19, UB40 ft. Ali Campbell, one of the most successful reggae bands of all time, with sales of more than 70 million records, global hits such as \u201cRed Red Wine\u201d, \u201cKingston Town\u201d and \u201c(I Can\u2019t Help) Falling in Love with You\u201d, and recipients of a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for their contribution to British music, will perform. On the same date, the national acts Delfins, an emblematic Portuguese pop rock group with a career spanning more than four decades and timeless songs such as \u201c1 Lugar ao Sol\u201d, \u201cSou Como Um Rio\u201d, \u201cA Ba\u00eda de Cascais\u201d and \u201cNasce Selvagem\u201d, among many others, which have marked several generations; Samuel \u00daria, acclaimed and award-winning musician and singer-songwriter from Tondela with six released albums, practitioner of the so-called \u201cBlues do D\u00e3o\u201d, and winner of a Golden Globe for \u201cBest Song\u201d with \u201c2000 A. D.\u201d, taken from the album of the same name; and, finally, GANSO, one of the leading bands of the new generation of Portuguese alternative music, with three albums acclaimed by critics, the gold single \u201cSorte a Minha\u201d, and a trajectory of growth that led them to sell out venues across the country and recently celebrate 10 years of their career at the Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
